Late Cancellation/ No Show Policy

Take Advantage of Convenient Appointment Cancellation Options to Avoid Fees!

In order to provide the best possible care for all our patients and optimize our appointment scheduling, we would like to inform you about a new policy regarding no-shows and late cancellations. Effective immediately, all new and established patients will be responsible for a $50 fee for any missed appointments or late cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time.

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, which may require you to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To help you avoid incurring any fees, we have several convenient methods for canceling appointments ahead of time:

1. Utilize Call and Online Reminders: When you receive reminders via call or online, you can click on the cancel option to inform us about your cancellation. This simple step will ensure that your appointment slot can be made available to another patient in need.

2. Cancel Through Your Privia Patient Portal: If you prefer an online method, you can log in to your Privia patient portal and send a cancellation message. This portal offers a secure and convenient platform for communication, ensuring that your cancellation request reaches us promptly.

3. Call our Scheduling Team: If you prefer to speak with someone directly, you can reach our scheduling team at any time by dialing 407-395-2004. If your call goes unanswered due to our team assisting another patient, please leave a voicemail including your name, date of birth, and a request to cancel the appointment.

By taking advantage of these options, you can easily cancel your appointment ahead of time, allowing us to offer the slot to another patient and avoid any unnecessary fees.

We value your cooperation and understanding in this matter. This policy will enable us to provide timely care to all our patients and ensure efficient use of our resources. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Thank you for your continued trust in our healthcare services.

Attention: Sookdeo Family Medicine no longer accept new pediatric patients.

Effective January 1, 2023, Sookdeo Family Medicine no longer accepts new pediatric patients.  We will continue to accept adults ages 18 and up.

This was not an easy decision, which the practice worked hard to avoid. However, due to the lack of available appointment openings for our existing patient population and staffing challenges throughout the medical field, we came to this conclusion.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming new children as soon as we are able. If you urgently require a new medical practice, please check with your health insurance for local options.

New Patients Appointments In-Person ONLY Policy

We require that all new patients are seen in person. That way, we can provide you with the best care you deserve. If you choose a new patient virtual visit, a staff member will contact you to reschedule your appointment to an in-person one.
